Grammy Award Winner The-Dream Establishes Endowed Scholarship at SCAD
Grammy Winning Artist Singer-Songwriter and Producer and SCAD fashion student Adamu Gesteelde-Diamant establishes scholarship in honor of his late mother
SAVANNAH, GA — February 24, 2025 —The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is proud to announce that SCAD fashion student Adamu Gesteelde-Diamant, known globally as the musician and producer The-Dream, has established an endowed scholarship in honor of his late mother Reva May Nash. The Reva May Nash Endowed Scholarship celebrates the enduring influence of Gesteelde-Diamant's mother, whose unwavering encouragement and belief in his artistic journey guided him before her passing in 1992 from ovarian cancer.
Inspired by her legacy of love, support, and inspiration, the Reva May Nash Scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by cancer survivors and their family members who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication to their craft while pursuing an education at SCAD.

Gesteelde-Diamant has made significant strides in his field and has earned multiple recognitions for his talent and passion. The-Dream is most recently credited with helping to produce and write Beyoncé's multiplatinum album Cowboy Carter, which won Country Album of the Year and Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Gesteelde-Diamant's decision to establish this scholarship at SCAD reflects his commitment to giving back and ensuring aspiring artists receive the support they need.
